Career Profiles of Former New Zealand Japanese Language Students

Before receiving the second half of their award, Sasakawa Teacher Trainee scholars are required to provide a profile of a former Japanese language student who has gone on to use their Japanese after completing their studies.

This requirement was devised as a means to provide teachers with a bank of examples of career paths in order to better respond to their students’ questions about the instrumental value of learning Japanese.

Click on the following for the profiles collected to date. More will be added as they are provided by the Teacher Trainee Scholarship holders.
