The Sasakawa Fellowship Fund invites applications from individuals engaged in relevant research in Japanese language education or Japanese studies to present their findings at relevant conferences, in New Zealand or abroad.

The Management Committee of the Sasakawa Fellowship Fund is aware of the value of relevant, high quality research to inspire and inform practice, whether it is solid academic research or classroom-based practical research. The Committee intends that this new award will facilitate a cross-fertilisation of ideas amongst teachers, educators and researchers to the ultimate benefit of Japanese language or Japanese studies education in New Zealand.
