Funding support for regional language camps, speech contests, and immersion days
Are you planning an inter-school camp or immersion day for Japanese language students next year? Are you thinking about running Japanese language speech contests for schools in your area? Complete the on-line application form below and find out whether your event would be eligible for funding support from Sasakawa.
If a proposal is approved, up to a maximum of $25/student involved to a maximum of $2,000 for the whole event will be granted. For example for a language camp, you may wish to put the funds towards TRDs, petrol vouchers, or food etc.. For an immersion day you might want to have the event culminate in a Japanese language dinner for all involved at a Japanese restaurant. For speech contests you may want to put the grant towards prizes, food etc.
No later than two weeks after the event, an electronic report should be submitted including the actual programme, and actual learning outcomes for students. The report should be in a format which could be uploaded onto the Sasakawa website to inform and inspire teachers who might be considering such events themselves. Please also submit a detailed financial breakdown and receipts. The grant will be paid on receipt of receipts.
Complete the application form below and click 'submit' to send it to my
