Kerri Dann

1980-1984: Linwood High School, Christchurch
Went on a Rotary Exchange to Abiko City in Chiba Ken, Japan for a year in Year 13.

1986-1988 : Christchurch Polytechnic
Studied in a 2-year intensive diploma course.

1989-1993: Kyushu University
Got a scholarship from the Japanese government. Majored in Japanese Law.

1993-1999: Kintetsu International Express KNT
Tour Co-ordinator (1993-1995)
Supervisor (1995-1999)

Kerri was able to combine her language abilities and her knowledge of Japanese people and customs in her job. While she was based in Queenstown, she was able to take part in some of the tourist activities. She went bungee jumping, rafting and heli skiing in the winter.

1999 Nature Spirit Film Productions Translator /Co-ordinator

Kerri met many interesting people while working in the film industry. During the winter there were often skiing
or snowboarding commercials on the ski fields or remote mountains. She was able to visit some of New Zealand’s remote and beautiful places. During the period, she also worked as a guide for Japanese tourists around the Queenstown area. While Kerri was in Queenstown she learned how to ski and also started rock climbing.

2004 Christchurch College of Education ( one-year diploma course) in order to become a secondary teacher )
