Scholarships for Teacher Education Students at Primary/Intermediate Levels

The Sasakawa Fellowship Fund for Japanese Language Education Programme offers a scholarship for primary teacher education students entering the final year of their degree, or graduates enrolling in a one year postgraduate qualification in primary teacher education. Successful applicants will need to show that they are enrolled in relevant language pedagogy/methodology paper/s.

Note:
This scholarship was previously available to secondary teacher education students specialising in Japanese.  The Sasakawa Management Committee has taken the decision to withdraw the Teacher Education Scholarship for secondary teacher trainees until further notice. Interest rate cuts have significantly affected our income and it is with regret we advise that this is one of the projects which is to be ‘parked’ for the time being.
